Terms & Conditions for Internet Banking Online Password Generation facility

These terms & conditions set out the rights and obligations of the Customer, who uses Internet Banking (I-Net Banking) of IDBI Bank Ltd. (the Bank) and the Bank, in connection with the use of I-Net Banking Online Password Generation Facility (the Service) of the Bank. All the terms & conditions of this agreement are legally binding. The Customer must read these terms & conditions carefully before using the Service. By registering to use the service as also by virtue of the Customers continued usage of the service, the Customer shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms & conditions and shall be bound by these terms and conditions, as amended from time to time by the Bank.

    A) This agreement:
  1. It is in addition to the terms & conditions that apply to the individual accounts, the Customer may be accessing through the Service. If there is a conflict between the terms & conditions of this agreement and any other relevant terms & conditions, the latest of the same will prevail; and
  2. Relates to (i) individual accounts in the Customer's sole name; (ii) joint holder accounts but only if those accounts may be operated by a single signing authority i.e. where the mode of operation is "Either or Survivor" and "Anyone or Survivor".
  3. By checking the "I agree" button, for these terms &conditions at the time of login, the Customer agrees to be legally bound by the same.
  4. This agreement is subject to change from time to time and any such changes will be notified to the Customer through online media. By submitting the "I agree" button at the time of login, the Customer further agrees to be legally bound by subsequent revised terms & conditions
    B) About the Service:
  1. Generate Online Password module allows the I-Net Banking customers to re-generate his/her Login and/or Transaction Password online and also change the I-Net Banking access profile.
  2. The Customer can generate the Login and/or Transaction Password and/or change the Internet Banking profile online by verifying his/her correct and valid credentials viz. Customer ID, Account Number, Mobile Number, Debit Card Number, ATM PIN and the Expiry Date of their Debit Card. In case, where the Debit Card is in a hot-listed state, the I-Net Banking password regeneration is not allowed.
    C) The Accounts on which the Customer may use the Service:
  1. By agreeing to be bound by the terms & conditions of this agreement, the Customer agrees that the Service will be available on all eligible accounts with the Bank, whether open now or opened in the future, including any joint holder accounts the customer holds with others. The Service can be used only in specific types of accounts, which can be advised by the Bank from time to time.
  2. In order to use the Service, you must be:
    • i. an account holder with the Bank
    • ii. aged 18 or over and
    • iii. must be registered to use I-Net Banking service of the Bank
    D) The Customer's responsibilities for security:
  1. The Customer should act in good faith, exercise reasonable care & diligence and shall be solely responsible for the confidentiality of the Account/Debit Card/I-Net Banking details, the One Time Password (OTP) and such other items relevant or pertaining to the Account.
  2. Under no circumstances, the Customer shall disclose aforesaid details to any other person or provide the details in Phishing mails or permit the Debit Card to come into the possession or control of any other person.
  3. The Customer shall never disclose/share the OTP sent to his/her registered mobile number with the Bank, while accessing the service.
  4. Customer shall not allow anyone else to operate the Service on his/her behalf.
  5. The customer shall not leave his/her computer unattended while accessing the Service.
  6. The Bank shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever if details referred hereinabove are compromised / shared by the Customer and the Customer shall keep the Bank harmless and absolved of any loss/damage/harm/cost/penalty /liability in this regard. The Customer shall be solely liable, in case the details are compromised/shared by him/her knowingly or unknowingly. For all purposes any usage will be construed as a proper and authenticated usage.
    E) Usage of the Service:
  1. In case the Customer provides wrong validation inputs for 3 consecutive attempts under this module of the Service, the online password generation facility or the Service shall be disabled and the Customer will not be able to create the password by using this module of the Service. In such cases, the Customer is required to contact the Branch of the Bank for activation of the Service per the guidelines of the Bank.
  2. In case the Password is disabled due to wrong consecutive attempts / input of the Login and/ or transaction Password, the Customer will be able to generate the password online. However, the Customer will not be able to generate the Password if the same has been disabled by the Bank.
Please Note: The Bank will never call or seek for the Customers' confidential information like Debit Card Number, CVV Number, PIN, Customer ID, OTP, etc. by e-mail/phone and /or otherwise. Please never disclose/share such details to anybody. The Bank is not liable for transactions conducted through valid Login credentials and Passwords.
